What it is
Talc
Natural layered magnesium silicate. That platy structure gives lubricity, low abrasiveness and hydrophobicity: useful as a seed lubricant, anticaking agent, mineral carrier and support for dry formulations. A low-reactivity mineral, useful precisely where no chemical soil reaction is wanted.
What it delivers
- Improves seed flow in metering systems, reducing friction and blockages.
- Acts as an inert carrier for dry formulations, blends, inoculants and treatments.
- Reduces caking in blends and powders.
- Low reactivity: works as filler or mineral support without altering soil chemistry.
Applications
Applications
- 01
Seed lubricant.
- 02
Carrier for seed treatments.
- 03
Mineral support for formulations and filler in dry products.
- 04
Physical adjuvant in blends and agro-industrial processes.
How it works
How it works
Its behaviour is physical, not chemical: the mineral platelets reduce friction between particles and keep solids separated, improving flow and preventing agglomeration. Each application requires defined particle size, purity, absence of contaminants, moisture and compatibility with seeds and inoculants. For seed treatment, validation with flow, germination and biological compatibility trials is advisable.
